Meet the Members of Marketing!

Marketing committee is made up of four subcommittees: Website, Logistics, Design, and Palengke. The website subcommittee focused on designing the FilNight website, while logistics has worked on outreach efforts for our FilNight. Design ideated and created the engaging promotional materials and palengke has worked on contacting vendors for our market!

I wanted to get involved with Filipino Night to be a part of showcasing our culture and giving back to the community. As Sayaw Coordinator, I wanted to be a part of collaborating with our group to be able to provide a fantastic set of traditional Filipino folk dances to showcase at Filipino Night. I am grateful to be a part of Filipino Night this year and to see the event come together with all our committees and committee members to be able to present this event!

FilNight is always something I’ve done beginning my undergrad through Sayaw and recently through Marketing and it’s such a fulfilling thing whenever I see the complete production. It’s how we’re able to represent our culture and heritage and to show the campus who we are.

I wanted to get involved with Filipino Night after seeing how amazing of a production it was last year. I loved seeing the collaboration of art and ideas, which pushed me to be a part of Filipino Night this year. The factors that made me choose to be a part of the Marketing Design team had to do with creativity! As I am a marketing major, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to not only show my knowledge but to also show my passion. I love all things marketing and design!

I decided to get involved with Filipino Night because I wanted to plan out the designs of Filipino Night. I also wanted to be able to lead my committee to create beautiful designs that will stand out to anyone!

Volunteering for the palengke and watching the FilNight production come together last year was really fun and I loved being able to hang out with some of my friends. This year, I wanted to be involved in the marketing (especially palengke) committee because there was a lot of opportunity to support and collaborate with small, Filipinx businesses around Seattle. I'm constantly inspired by the creative community and wanted to give back where I could.
