Meet the Members of Legacy!
FASA’s very own hip-hop dance group takes shape through Legacy. This group gathers dancers of all levels to host workshops and choreograph performances like you’ve never seen before. Like many of our organizations in FASA, Legacy is student-led and serves as a way for members to engage in creative performance!

This is my first in-person FilNight here at UW and it's something that I've been anticipating since the beginning of the school year. I wanted this night to be super special for the Filipino Community here in Seattle where we could gather and enjoy the evening by being entertained. My passion for showcasing our kultura and our barkada that has been working so hard for this night are the reasons why I am super immersed in this night. A special shoutout to Sayaw sa UW: you guys are the biggest reason why I love performing because not only do I get to showcase our kultura with you guys, I get to see how far we become as a barkada. You guys make me proud of being Filipino.

I decided to be involved with Filipino Night because I wanted to showcase the part of my culture that I am proudest of, dance. Dance has been the constant lifeline and connection to my filipino roots throughout my entire life and I love how I can express myself through this art form. While I have been dancing for over fifteen years, Filipino Night 2023 will be my debut performance as a choreographer for Legacy! I am so honored I get to share this piece with the community I have found at UW and explore my cultural roots with Sayaw as well. I am so excited to co-lead our Legacy dance team with my friend Kristina and we are so proud of all our dancers who dedicated their time to our set!
